One of the things that makes Vala Home Improvements different from most other renovators is that our roots are in the executive level of the corporate world.
The owner, Richard Larocque founded Vala Home Improvements in 2008 to follow his passion in home renovation and improvement. After more than 20 years working at the executive and Vice-President level managing large scale technology projects in the government and private sectors, Richard founded Vala Home as a labour of love. This somewhat unusual career path helps explain why Richard brings such a high level of professionalism, project management acumen and communication skill to every project, big or small.
Richard has built Vala Home Improvements from the ground-up and has established an enviable reputation for excellence in workmanship and client satisfaction – he is most proud of his track record in having several repeat clients, and growing his business through referrals from satisfied customers.
Fluently bilingual, Richard is active in his community. He volunteers with Homes With Woofs and has proudly served on the Ottawa Hospital Foundation community board.
